Teleclinic

 Teleclinic is a medical history storage and communication platform for bringing the value of having a “Family Doctor” to individuals. It allows users to store their doctor's visits, medical history, and documents and can follow up on their referral and insurance after the first checkout by family doctors.

Every year around 15,000 People come to Ontario every year to study, work or stay. 77% of these newcomers are between the ages of 18-70. Roughly five million people are without a family doctor, excluded newcomers. Newcomers to Ontario usually go to walk-in clinics when needing medical attention, but with all the moving and settling into a new country, they might have to go back to their place of a visit to collect test results or prescriptions for moving forward with their treatments.

On the Other hand, Based on PHIP (Personal Health Information Protection) act, one of its purposes is:

“To provide individuals with a right of access to personal health information about themselves, subject to limited and specific exceptions set out in this Act. “

The responsibility explained in this regulation is demonstrating the places, time, and other specifies a practitioner as a custodian has. 

Changing Doctors through different periods of time makes keeping track of medical records loosely. This need is especially evident with newcomers. Based on the independence of medical clinics and hospitals run by their board of directors or one independent practitioner, every clinic runs differently, and the services offered vary. There might be a different spectrum of reasons behind seeing a new doctor.
